Criteria

What do we pay attention to?

  • Carat and purity - the higher the carat, the higher the value.
  • Weight - solid gold weighs more; hollow or gold-plated pieces weigh less
  • Condition - damage or remnants may lower the value.
  • Gemstones - size, colour, quality and whether they are natural or synthetic
  • Market price - we use current gold prices, so you get a fair price.

Do you work with fair-trade materials?

Our goldsmith works exclusively with circular gold. Circular means that we use responsible gold that does not involve unethical gold extraction from mines for our jewellery. For this, we work together with our regular Dutch partner. They have signed the “Responsible Gold Covenant’. Click here to read more about it.

We are jointly committed to an internationally responsible gold chain. The aim is that throughout the chain, from extraction to recycling, human rights, the environment and biodiversity are better respected.
