Cober Jewellery processes your personal data because you have made use of our services and/ or because you have provided us with your personal information.

Special and/ or sensitive personal data we process
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under 16 years of age unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. Because we are not able to verify whether a visitor is over 16 years old, we would advise parents or guardians to be involved in their children’s online activities, to avoid collection of data on children without parental consent. If you provide information on the occasion for purchasing or commissioning a piece of jewellery or a watch through the contact form on our website, by email or by phone, you thereby grant permission to process these details to enable us to provide you with the best advice on our products.

Cober Jewellery processes your personal data for the following purposes:

- To send our newsletter and/ or information or advertising leaflets, if you have signed up for this;
- To contact you by phone or email if this is required to provide you with our services;
- To inform you of any changes to our services and products;

- To deliver goods and services to you;
- To analyse your behaviour on the website in order to improve the website and tailor the range of products and services to your preferences;
- To process personal data if we are required by law to do so, such as data required for our tax return.
Cober Jewellery does not utilise a decision-making process based on automated processes on matters that can have a (significant) effect on individuals. This refers to decisions that are made by computer- programs or systems, without human involvement (for example an employee of Cober Jewellery).
How long do we keep personal data?
Cober Jewellery will not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. You can request your data at any time and/or have your data (name, phone number, address details and email) deleted. If such a request is made, we will erase your data within 6 weeks.
We will keep your e-mail address on our mailing list until you unsubscribe. Every email you receive from us contains a link that allows you to unsubscribe from one or more of our mailing lists.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Cober Jewellery does not sell your data to third parties and only provides these data – with your consent – if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you, or to comply with a legal obligation (e.g., PostNL, a bank, tax authorities, administration office).
With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data is applicable.

To ensure that the request to access your personal data is legitimate, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (Machine Readable Zone: the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and the Burgerservicenummer (Citizen Service Number; BSN), to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, within four weeks at most.
